He does not want to be president anymore, true - but he also doesnt want to go back to his old life. He wants to install himself as permanent ruler of the United States and he is going to try everything in his power to do that before he is gone.

When Nixon refused to turn over secretly recorded tapes to congressional investigators, the Supreme Court ultimately ruled 8-0 that he had to turn over the tapes, Nixon finally did a 180 and agreed to follow the rule of the law as decided by the Supreme Court and cooperate fully.
This White House is already publicly declaring that they are stonewalling all inqueries and refusing to turn over ANYTHING requested by Congress. If this Supreme Court also rules in favor of investigators (which isn't a guarantee thanks to at least 2 maniacs handpicked by Trump and toxic sludge factory Fox News infecting every corner of the country), Trump is more likely to still refuse, tweet something about the president being the boss of the supreme court, and call Vlad to come occupy Washington for awhile.
