This is basically the argument for why Biden should be the candidate. That he can win over these working class whites in middle America who voted for Trump. Not that he will spike voting overall.

Except it ignores that the Obama-Trump voters in those states may have been more conservative leaning often than not and as the Dems move further left, they will go Republican more. That Obama simply ran on his own policies. Not as an anti-Bush candidate. He didn't try to take every side on every issue or read the tea leaves (that's why he got in trouble with the "cling to their guns" rhetoric).

Whether or not people like Bernie or Warren. The reason they are have such a strong following so far is that they aren't waffling on issues for vote. It's either get aboard or don't. Which is what people actually want in a leader.

Isn’t that what a leader is? Isn’t that what the president is doing? Who would have thought the republicans would be for tariffs.

Yeah. He’s just doing it based on idiotic reasoning with no plan and bigotry.
That’s what his base wanted. The democratic base should not try to create a zone for republicans. But I also believe there is a strong force that is willing to kick us (black) people out of the party for a more uniform look.

I didn’t say it wasn’t. He hates what they hate.

I’m not sure what you are seeing. Black people will be fine. Parties realign and change.

I think the two party system as we’ve known it is in its final days but only if more people start participating in voting more regularly.

If Biden is the nominee I see black kids leaving the party.

I see most black kids for Trump regardless if Joe is the nominee or not.
:ehh:

That’s a bold assertion.

I think Trump, unless a recession hits, squeezes out a victory against Biden and Conservatives reshape the courts to the point the Dems won’t matter.

:russ: These dudes ain’t facing no type of trouble. Must be fukkin nice.
Aint shyt meaningful happening on any front at this point. Everything is posturing, and the shyt that matters is ignored or voted against.
I'm just waiting to see how long it takes the rest of the country to begin feeling repercussions of the (in)actions we are witnessing. Its beyond pathetic and sad.
At this point if the Dems truly go till 2020 without any meaningful checks on Trump in the guise of simply voting him out, the two party system (at the Fed level at least) is basically finished.
