The way it’s looking is Barr is going to make sure the Mueller blowback on Trump and GOP is minimal. The fact Trump can even appoint a AG under theses circumstances is UNfukkINGBELIEVEABLE. He has been overly obstructing a openninvestigation and fires the last FBI Director and Head of DOJ and then went and bypassed the order of succession to put in place a Con Man. The National Emergency is the L...the blowback is going to shock him from within and outside his party.

Trump hit the diminishing returns phase of his "just need to appease my base" ideals when he got nothing out of the shutdown. The people on his side care less about the wall and more about him sticking it to the other side and leaving them holding the bag. Which he isn't doing by keeping the government open and getting his wall money through a National Emergency, which everyone knows will be so tied up in litigation that he'll never see a dime of it.
