The Dems could get everything they want and some if they draw up articles of impeachment and get them through the house, I don't believe the Senate piece is even necessary for them to not only get the full report but the grand jury testimony as well. Pay close attention, the grand jury testimony is where the real damage is.

If they call Barr and the WH's bluff, they get everything they want and potential ammunition to force Trump's removal but its a political gamble that could cost them 2020 and further split the party because it will kill any real chance of any legitimate policy agreements.

I don't think Nancy has the nerve or the juice, everything she says publicly is to try and ensure the D's hold on to the House.

Now they have some precedent but they're going to have to weigh the political blowback versus the reward. All of that after Nadler makes the subpoenas official.

According to the lawyers who deal with these things, in order to ensure you have any chances of winning a court battle - because we all know that's where this is going - you have to demonstrate that you exhausted every avenue and gave ample chances prior to the subpoenas.

Thats a check on abuse of subpoena power.
