Well I have zero faith in any Republican congressman holding him accountable minus some fukking bombshell in the Mueller reportIt's not for the doj to decide.
I was in NY for the past 5 days, as the news broke, of the SC report, hours before I was shopping on 5th Ave, and saw the pro Trump rally at Trump Tower, even saw the 666 Building Kushner bought. I was thinking for a few minutes about the thread and everyone like it across the country. Pretty surreal experience overall to read the NY Times coverage in the city. I am not surprised in the least, nor am I really moved by this. The idealization of Mueller and the SC team was always very concerning to me, people acting like a video game or an action movie deus ex machina would come down and save the play in the last act. The Special Counsel did their job and now the other US Attorneys offices will move forward, if and when, they have a prosecutable case against Trump, I expect it to be filed, after the presidency. There is no need to decry the special counsel, but make no mistake we are in dangerous territory with Trump, given last weekends event, yet it all goes on and on. This has to happen first at the voting level in 2020.

This is the truly sad part. There is no way Barr read that report or even had it read to him before he wrote that letter. I wouldn’t even be surprised if 90% of that letter was filled out pre receiving the report. This was obviously a sham. He sent a 19 page memo to RR saying obstruction was bullshyt. And then he gets the job and Mueller leaves it up to him to make the choice on if Trump obstructed justice
. And you got pundits still dikkriding Mueller saying Barr snaked him and usurped the powers Mueller left for the American people and congress 
.I though Mueller was the 10-D chess playing genius that thinks 10 steps ahead? 
Trump made too many rich white wealthy mothafukkas money to ever see a day in a jail cell. And that’s just the reality of it folks. When a Dem wins they will talk about unity and trump won’t see a charge.
A major issue is people starting following this case without any really knowledge of the federal system and how it works, they kind of picked up the terms and info as they went along, indictments, complaints, cooperation, and thats's great, but it was turned into a fantasy. People like fantasy and they liked following it, and now they feel like the end of the movie wasn't what they wanted, and that's to bad, I guess, but grow up. The worst thing is to be totally dejected and lose sight of it all.

You have a president profiting off his business while in office and one party hasn’t made a peep to tell him to stop it. Family in the cabinet? Forcing clearance for people not qualified to have it for security reasons?
Why wouldn’t people think alphabet boys would push back to restore a little order?

These are massive institutions, and the men at their forefront, believe in the higher institution before all. The IC did push back, in terms of guys like Clapper, make the rounds, Comey's book, McCabe's book, Rosenstein appointing a Special Counsel. They weren't going to break procedure or break what holds these institutions together for anything. This was a by the books investigation, ran letter perfect, and it indicted all of the presidents inner circle, everyone involved, in what the mandate was. This is how these things work. The fact the president sees it as a victory is a testament to how far we have fallen, but also how slow and divided the voters are. The reaction by people who don't support Trump is really concerning, I expect the worst from the Right, always, but for people to be so emotionally let down and childish, about a federal investigation at the highest levels of government, I mean they sound like children, who are taking their toys and going home.

In this ADD news era, people will forget this investigation by mid-April. Like how people forgot about the government shutdown. But people CERTAINLY won't forget the lingering effects of a crippled economy.
