The Wrestler Stephanie McMahon Wants To Push Hard - Wrestling Inc.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Stephanie McMahon has declared former Tough Enough contestant Daniel Rodimer as being “the next big thing” and she wants him to start on RAW by January at the earliest. And when he does come up, she wants “something big for him.” Internally, according to people who have seen him or worked with him, everyone believes (besides Stephanie) that even a January 2008 call-up would be pushing it for him. Rodimer has only been wrestling since August. Nonetheless, he has the look that WWE loves, moreso than anyone else in developmental, and perhaps some people already in WWE. Rodimer is 6-6 and nearly 300 pounds.

The company wanted Rodimer to win the 2004 Tough Enough, but he didn’t do much in the competition besides look big and cocky. Also, his promos weren’t too good and he didn’t stand out in the competitions, which is why he was eliminated fairly quickly. Although, he does have an athletic background as he played college football at the University of South Florida, but was not a star there.

Regarding his work in DSW, he gets over in personality there, but his matches haven’t gotten over too well – and DSW is considered to be the “easy level.” Then again, he just started last August.

Dan Rodimer signs with WWE

How cliché wrestler couldn't get over because he lacked charisma so they stick him with a dead in the water cowboy gimmick. :snoop:

Ex-Congressional candidate wanted for 47-year-old’s murder in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A former Congressional candidate and professional wrestler is wanted for murder in Las Vegas, according to court records.

Records show Daniel Stephen Rodimer has a warrant issued for an open murder charge in Las Vegas Justice Court. A request for the warrant was issued March 5, records show. Jail records do not show Rodimer in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police said he’s the suspect for a homicide that occurred on Oct. 29 of last year. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said they became aware of the “suspicious death” at the 3000 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard on Nov. 22.

On that October night, medical arrived at the scene for service regarding 47-year-old Christopher Tapp. Police said he suffered from injuries as a result of a “purported accident.” He later died at the hospital. The Clark County coroner ruled his death as a homicide as a result of “blunt force trauma to the head.”

Detectives learned that Tapp was in an altercation inside a room at a resort before being located and transported.

According to the coroner’s report, it was reported that Tapp suffered from an “unwitnessed fall” at Resorts World. Tapp suffered from multiple brain bleeds and died Nov. 5, 2023.

“Further investigative circumstances relayed on 11/22/23 and witness statements were provided on 12/11/23 by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department,” the coroner report reads. “The interview describes Mr. Tapp in a physical altercation with another individual on the night of 10/30/23, directly resulting in Mr. Tapp’s head trauma.”

Rodimer challenged Democratic Rep. Susie Lee for her District 3 seat in 2020. He lost the election by about 13,000 votes. Afterward, Rodimer moved to Texas and ran as a Republican in District 6 in a special election, but lost.

Anyone with any information about this incident is urged by police to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section by phone at 702-828-3521, or by email at homicide@lvmpd.com. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 702-385-5555, or on the internet at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
