Both are tall, lanky dudes with preordained giant pushes who do similar poses, have a stoic charisma, use (used) a dropkick as a signature move, and a finisher move made popular by someone else. But more importantly, Okada is to Tanahashi as Orton is to Cena.
Lol what a forced comparison. They're completely different wrestlers.

Okada has been at whatever WWE show lined up with ROH shows for like 3 years straight. shyt ain't a big deal. NJ and WWE aren't competitors, despite WWE doing Japan tours and NJ now doing US shows. At this point, there are multiple dudes on each brand that he's worked with and was friends with and just wants to meet up with while they're in the area.
Breh why do you always have to kill the vibe

No one is saying theyre competition.

Real talk, seeing Okada in person might have made them even more inclined than they already have been to sign him. Rainmaker is really traditional WWE "heavyweight" size. Even bigger than Shinsuke

Shinsuke looks taller though.

That's completely false. It's no coincidence that New Japan's business started to pick up at a bigger pace once Okada returned and was immediately put in the main event. He's waaay more important to New Japan than Orton ever was to WWE. Tanahashi and Cena are quite similar but there's no WWE comparison for Okada.

Orton's career has been either a complete failure or at best underwhelming depending on your parameters, Kazuchika's been anything but that.

No he didn't :why:

He's great, specially for his age but come the fukk on with that "greatest ever" bullshyt.
What's your top 10? What criteria do you use? If you go off a certain criteria, he could be one of the best ever.

My greatest ever in wrestling always involves promos, so he isn't in my top 10. If you go strictly off of great wrestling matches, he could be. Uncle Dave would say so.

Unless your criteria is "greatest ever since 2012", he shouldn't. He's young as fukk and is just entering his first prime, there's a whole bunch of people that have entire careers that have more and better stuff than Okada's. There's no point in rushing a conversation when the dude is fukking 29 :dead:

Could care less about Meltzer's taste in wrestling, specially nowadays. :heh:
