If he got a million dollar deal he’s lucky cause his stock was in the dirt and there was nowhere else for him to go. His angles flopped, his character flopped, his wife flopped, his daughter flopped, his reality tv show flopped, the game show he hosted flopped, ROH died after he became champ flopped. Guy is lucky anyone paid him.

He never wanted to leave in the first place, this whole process was him proving to Vince that he could make a name for himself outside of the WWE and he did that. His feud with MJF was his best but everything after that tanked because of his ego. The WWE is the perfect place for him now because he'll be allowed to be a main eventer, but he won't have total freedom like he had in AEW.

this. while it seems odd what Cody is doing, none of us are truly in the know. the company that Cody helped start might not be the same company today and i can understand someone jumping ship due to that as well as financial issues. it's also great storytelling because if he ever comes back to AEW he's immediately the biggest heel ever

Me either. Above average on the mic (for AEW) and decent in the ring. I know he got overshadowed when Moxley, Punk and BD showed up but he isn't THAT bad. His biggest mistake was forcing his wife on everyone.
