I’m still waiting on numbers because the shyt he posted above isn’t them

And the op didn’t say that people were out because they were in ICU, he said because they were out because they caught Covid.

do you think people who work in the food service industry should be working while covid positive?

This is what the "Everyone is gonna catch it eventually" crowd don't seem to understand. Infrastructure isn't built to have everyone off sick at the same time which is why restrictions/guidelines are needed to ensure society can still run with some kind regularity whilst this virus/variant is running rampant.

I don't have a horse in the Vax/Anti-Vax race because it's tiring at this point but if 12% of Australia's population is unvaccinated and account for 50% of ICU patients, I'd say that's a cause for concern :manny:

this last point goes over these people’s heads because they’re morons and they don’t wanna know.

more than half = over 50%

posted 4/27/2021.. I never said it was a cure.
it ends when theres little to zero community transmission of the virus which is something many places in the world have managed to achieve last year before vaccines were even available.

the vaccine isn't a magical cure all elixir, it's just one of many things we're using to combat this virus.

OP do you post anything not related to Covid?

discussing the myriad of ways a worldwide pandemic has affected lives all over the world and how people and governments deal with it is something I find interesting. :manny:

no matter what opinion a person holds, covid has exposed people and governments alike in various ways.

my profile isn't hidden.

Idiots shutting everything down like it’s going to stop an airborne virus :heh:

Consumer confidence has plunged as casual workers are stripped of shifts while sick or isolating, and an unofficial lockdown is in place with restaurants and bars reporting fewer customers than usual as people try to dodge the virus.

did you read the article? the government didn't shut them down. their employees didn't show up because they were sick with covid. this is how it always was going to play out with too much of a population getting sick at once. operations cease to function as they once did.

Australia: the latest coronavirus counts, charts and maps

Almost 88% of the country vaccinated but more than half the staff out from Covid…

I guess the lockdown is only because of that 12.5 percent according to The coli :jbhmm:

Reuters vaccine tracker isn't accurate.

According to them the US is 80% vaccinated

United States: the latest coronavirus counts, charts and maps

United States has administered at least 522,482,674 doses of COVID vaccines so far. Assuming every person needs 2 doses, that’s enough to have vaccinated about 79.6% of the country’s population.

Co-sign. It's all well and good for people to say "let the weak die off" (because that's basically what they're saying, let's be real), but if those hospitals reach critical mass, that's bad for everyone. You suddenly catch a severe illness unrelated to COVID or you get in a car accident, and you're screwed. Not to mention, there's plenty of people in the workforce that might not be at peak health or resilient enough to handle COVID reasonably well. The fact that over half of this dude's employees are out because of the virus is proof that just letting it run rampant, regardless of whether it affects them severely or not, isn't the best course of action. This is why COVID makes everyone fall back, unless you're extremely hardheaded.

Vaccinated or not, it's on both sides to be responsible and cautious with where they go and who they meet up with. Everyone's feeling the exhaustion, but if people just start throwing up their hands and give up, then we're for sure going to have all emergency personnel overwhelmed. Morale will plummet even further because of that. And then if a new and stronger variant comes around, it's going to be that much harder to get everyone back on the same page. Meaning we'll just be in an even worse position than if we just kept doing our best to protect everyone and ourselves as much as possible.

My Indian homie who lives there said there's only 4 reported cases in his whole state :stopitslime:
Yeah Western Australia... That's where I am.

That's because our state is literally closed off from the rest of the country. Not allowed to fly interstate or overseas.. it's fukking trash..

Hate it here. Haven't seen any of my family overseas or interstate since March 2020
