LOVED the first season, got busy during season 2 start last year and only watched the first ep of season 2. Binged the last 9 eps yesterday and today.

This show in a nice way conflicts you. Growing up as kids, we was programmed to hate Johnny and be a fan of Daniel.

But they did a great job of flipping the script and making you feel so empathetic for Johnny and want to see him win

But Hawk put in work and is after Miguel in the Cobra Kai ranks. His animosity towards Dmitri is crazy but even that didn't come out of nowhere. Weak ass Dmitri was clout chasing then he started putting dirt on the dojo name when he couldn't hack it.

IMO his fight with Hawk was anime bullshyt.

i was a baby then so it's a different point of view. then i was covering my eyes cuz my parents told me not to look. now im cringing away cuz i dont want to keep watching kids make out every 10 mins.

hollywood needs to stop with the gratuitous sexualization of kids. like i said, one kiss gets the point across.

If it makes you feel better none of those actors are actually kids. I think Miguel is the youngest one and he's 19.

On one hand I get it but on the other hand these kids were junior in high school in season 1, and are rising seniors in season 2, so the school characters are all 17/18 years old (or right there) in season 2, where more of the kissing and stuff is. Most of the actors playing them are in their 20's. I think the girl that plays Samantha is like 25 or so.

Honestly it didn't even cross my mind until you mentioned it. It's not exactly a show for kids, and they even say the word fukk on the show sometimes, so I guess I just never thought of it as a kid's show. I thought it was a show for college-age kids as well as adults that remember the old movies.


The media definitely sexualizes people at an overly young age. But like, I think them showing adult actors playing high-schoolers, kissing, is less weird than magazines saying that Eleven/Millie Bobby Brown is one of the 'sexiest women in Hollywood' when she was 14, or at the most, 15 years old. That was ridiculous.

it makes me feel better that they werent requiring kid actors to make out, but its still weird that they would want to portray it like that when its not even necessary. (spoiler) the girl dated 3 different guys in one school year, then cheated on her most recent boyfriend which caused him to nearly kill someone in the last episode, she got accused of giving blow jobs, one girl dumped her hawk and started making out with a girl....wtf.

i missed that part. tbh i be half watching while im working at the same time lol. but aside from the bullshyt, its a pretty good show, some good action scenes

Not sure why people are complaining about teens making out on film all of a sudden, or claiming Hollywood is sexualizing teens all of a sudden. There used to be a whole genre of films, Teen Rom Com's that were about teenagers and sex. Even movies like Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and 1000's of other films made. This is nothing new, and not even shocking. Just reality of life. When did people become so uber conservative with art? Ever watch Kids, or 13? This show is PG at best and y'all complaining about teenagers going to 1st base? At this rate society is going to start demanding women wear burkas in the next 10 years.
