It seems like Ghana is the only African country that's showing love to the diaspora.
That's because they are the only ones who can claim a connection, and still have the slave buildings to make money off of. it's a hustle

I'm not gonna shyt on this program, though. My problem is the people who go will probably see it as a homecoming which it is, BUT home doesn't just mean love, it can also be dysfunctional, and the reason you are fukked up. I can't go and be at peace knowing you created my issues, and still using them to get money, I just can't do it UNLESS you are fixing what you broke

I used to want black people in the West to worry about fixing our issues first before worrying about our lives before slavery, and connecting with Africa, but life is teaching me if you ignore reality, it will punch you in the face. Until we do that blacks in america(including foreigners) will be fighting for crumbs,.and being treated with respect. Blacks in the Caribbean will be struggling, and hoping to get that American dream. And blacks in Latin America will be struggling to just live properly while being unapologetically black!

Wake up people, the only time shyt has worked for us is when we accepted our reality, and fought for better. Now watch someone argue with me about how good this is, and im a hater, but not what I wrote

:mjlol: they're literally pushing us "go to back to africa" while they fight tooth and nail for LGBT/Immigrants, and we're just lapping it up...this is unreal.
You know all this black unity regardless of where ya from is a joke? Ask ya self how many black people from the West go to West African or Ethiopian restaraunts weekly? How many West Africans or Ethiopians go to ADOS or Caribbean restaurants weekly?

How many listen to West African,.and Ethiopian, music weekly BEFORE Afrobeats growth? I'm sure West Africans listened to our music so I won't ask that

How many blacks from the West see West Africans or Ethiopians, in their church weekly?

My point is people are just bullshyting themselves. We live in America, and if you live in NYC or the DMV, you can easily interact with a West African or Ethiopian, yet the only ones who do what i asked are the kids, and that's because of school, and basically being American in culture.

If panafricanism is so real, why do I have to take a trip to another land, why aren't we unified here?:troll:

Even if you become a Ghanaian citizen don’t they make you pay more for things and restrict you from certain things?

Have you ever thought maybe everyone doesn't see this as a positive in this era?

You don't think it's weird to send kids to see a place that is long gone from when their ancestors left, by ignore what those same ancestors went through here, and those same kids are bearing the brunt of it? How are they gonna be aware of the fight their in, by going to another country just because it's in Africa?

Why not send them to plantations here or in different parts of the west like Jamaica.or Haiti, and Brazil? Why not send them to areas that got burned down from white riots, and how racists took over, then kept those blacks into poverty?

No, you want to send them to a place where they do what modern people do, and have the same religion, nothing like it was before slavery. You are trying to get them to have a connection to an ancient history that doesn't exist anymore before connecting to their recent history that forms their whole way of being both negative & positive.

Again, gotta deal with reality or we will always be subjugated to our oppresors! He is winning because we never look at our reality, just a dream. You study history to learn what went wrong, and what went right, not to feel good

...but y'all have no problem going to Ireland and Japan tho
Those countries didn't sell me off

And our story is unique, and we are FAILING, why not prepare your kids to fight before it's too late just by telling them the truth of why they are in the position they are in?

Of course I know the answer, the adults are just as lost as the kids. I'm from NYC so I know why this trip would happen,.they are most likely panafricanists who don't know shyt about their history here, or accept that we were sold by our own. I doubt they are even ADOS or at least dealt with ADOS outside of nyc besides a few times of the year for special occasions

You sound like a whole bytch."why don't the want me" ass nikka. This is your ancestral land, like it or not. You don't have ties to Asia or Europe. There's nothing wrong at all with wanting a connection with that, everyone else does it. Stop using that as an excuse not to do.

See what I mean, you can't even have an argument with me without disrespecting me, which if this was the real world causes violence. This isn't 1970, the window is closing before your life as an American will be absolute shyt, because of your history of slavery. We already went though black pride, now its time to prepare the younger generation to fight for what they are owed and the con games that will be done to keep you being the heel of everyone else.

Need prisons filled, got black people. Just came to the country and need money, go to the hood. Want to test new drugs, got black people. Want to try new scams, got black people. And this is all over the Western hemisphere, but you want them to feel good about where they were before slavery!

The only reason why you are reacting like this is because you never dealt with the truth of your existance. A person who understands would just prove me wrong, but you cant so you attack the person who is hurting your dream

Thank you for proving my point. The sad part is, if nothing changes within this decade, your kids will be like those in West Africa right now, suffering and hoping to live the American dream WHILE living in America. We aren't that far off now, it's just credit is holding people up, but that will soon not be enough

Life doesn't care about ya feelings, only the truth of your existance
