I agree with the some of the financial aspects that make this scenario unlikely, but you have to think.... A lot of people on this planet is STILL trying to get into this country, or at least to Canada. Don't think for one moment that having NA passport wouldn't be the hottest passport on Earth. You think we're overcrowded now....

México and Canada needs more economic development, but all anyone is seeing is $$$$ from tax base provided by all these people that will flood NA.

It doesnt matter. The only question you need to ask is whether the US benefits from attaching itself economically to a narco state? The dollar is already the worlds reserve currency(for now at least). Theres nothing at all to gain by doing this.
