Atlantic hasnt really promoted this album like his first 3 joints.
Kinda surprised its dropping next month

Atlantic made a deal with him. Lupe sold his soul for Lasers and they promoted and marketed the album with massive $$. We all saw the results and sales. Lupe did too. The trade was they would give Lupe 100% creative control with F&L II. Will Lupe real fans come out and support him? Will he gets the same amount sales he got with Lasers? Atlantic is interested in that question.

To add on to this. Lupe has also stated one of the reasons they won't promote him as much is because he isnt in a 360 so they don't make as much money from as they do their other artists.

Taking someone else's girl, which is so laissez-faire in hip-hop, will get you killed in the streets, but it doesn't seem to be an issue when you hear it on the radio.

author seems blinded by his love for lupe to criticize him at all, riding his jock too hard with this fluff piece, as if a rolex and 'dwyane wade shades' are bling for the commoner. also i dont get being apolitical and making remarks about politicians, shyt seems like a way to take no responsibility. but honestly all the shyt he says about doing more for the community and taking responsibility as a genre is truth, can't criticize him for that. and if his interviews get anyone googling current events, im all for it.

with that said, food and liquor is a personal classic, had that shyt in the cd player for bus rides home and to school in HS
