Dude has been training for this for a long time… White has already said his first match will be against a guy with a record the same as him 0-0 that it's not a lesnar situation where he comes in and is immediately fighting the big dogs

That's not exactly why I'm worried. With his injury history, I'm just not sure he'll be able to hold up in MMA. Not to mention that Lesnar was a legit NCAA D1 champ with far fewer miles on him than Punk has right now. There's a lot working against a 36 year old whose had a fractured skull, a bevy of recent knee issues, elbow issues and who knows what else that's just beginning in MMA.

I mean, we'll see, but I'm not optimistic.

Oh, and @BluntOfHeadband? Look up "Nick Diaz vs Braulio Estima" and learn yourself something. Know what you're talking about before you neg someone.

Win or lose, he's going to generate their biggest buyrate in years. I haven't watched a UFC PPV in my life and I'm ordering that show.

They did 1 million for Silva vs. Weidman 2 on December 2013. And Dana said Punk's going to face a 1-0, 1-1 or 2-1 guy, so while I think there would be interest, I don't think he'd get them their biggest buyrate since December 2013.

We'll see how this works out. Doesn't seem like a recipe for success as a 36 year old former pro wrestler. Wonder how he handles a full camp. This could be a James Toney deal where he ends up one and done and possibly moves to the commentary section if he doesn't alienate himself from his new boss.

This was a shot in the arm that the UFC needed. Fans have been on cruise control since the Jones-Cormier delay.

I don't think I cared to watch Brock in the UFC until his rematch against Mir, so I'm probably skipping this shyt too.
