Well, I like long movies, so the runtime would be cool wit me. I rarely ever go see films in theaters if it's less than 2 hrs and 10 minutes long unless I catch a matinee

I saw previews for it and I was like, so I might check it out. Not high on my priority list tho

it didnt look good, quite frankly.

the marketing for this movie was almost non existent and what little that was done to promote the movie was terrible.

the target audience for some kind of message or emotional headtrip is not the same as the target for expensive CGI effects. you should never spend that kind of money to make an art film like this.

basically, not all books should be made for the big screen in their natural form. you may need to adapt only parts of a book and put the parts that make sense into a movie that is specifically targeted for an audience.

A movie like this just isn't going to get much praise with today's audience (in America, at least)

If it's too abstract and relies on the audience to figure out on his or her own what's going on then it's mostly going to fail either at the box office and/or critically.

Five to ten years down the line it will must likely be viewed as a classic.

But na.... this is a movie that I was anxious to see when it was out.... but then tried several times and just couldnt connect with it. Either I'd fall asleep or turn it off. But now I'm determined to watch it but its so fukking weird and shyt aint connecting yet
