Is there a high quality version of "Birds Don't Sing" out?

Every version I've heard is super low.

Brambleton, let the smokers shine the coupes, neck and wrist and call my bluff are all great beats. I would say the first two are classic Pharrell production :yeshrug:

Agreed and I've never been a Pharrell/Neptunes fan. He laced that album with multiple heaters.

Why do you say that?

The split was always that P focused on drums and Chad was all the melodies, keys and instruments. So if you don’t have Chad involved, you get beats without that sound we all loved from the first two Clipse albums. Dude plays like 7 instruments. So sh*t like "Superthug" and "Cot Damn" is Chad going crazy on keys, bass, and horns, etc.

The Neptunes as a whole need a comeback. But if you just have Pharrell doing the beats, it's a step down on the instrumentation. He can do a little something on the keyboard, but joints like "Gangsta Lean" and "Young Boy" are Chad-heavy. So you lose out on that without him there.

I agree it would be nice for the Neptunes to make a comeback, but Pharrell did hell hath no fury by himself. That’s one of the best production achievements of all time imo. I don’t think there’s one sample on that entire album. And he’s still making classic Clipse sounding beats. Listen to let the smokers shine the coupes and tell me a Clipse with 12 of those wouldn’t be one of the best albums this year.

Nah, Chad and Pharrell both worked on HHNF.

I don’t know when that rumor started online, but people not crediting Chad for his work, is why he's suing Pharrell, lol. He said he worked on Pusha's last album too, but wasn't credited for the beats he worked on. He said he had to reach out to Pharrell to fix that. Pharrell likes to be in the front, so he's been taking credit for work that he did with Chad, but has people saying it was just him. That's been happening for a minute. I remember Chad talking about going with a darker theme for HHNF, then I started seeing people online saying Pharrell did the whole album. I wouldn't be surprised if P started that rumor.
