The reason why J Lo made sense as a film casting decision is because Selena looked
like a Caribbean trigueña mix of African, European and Native, rather than the dominant mestizo
Spanish/Native mix we normally assign to Mexicans.

Even George Lopez and Eva Longoria possess confirmed Sub-Saharan African ancestry.
