Said this in another thread. Have Jey Uso pin Roman Reigns to setup the title match at SummerSlam. Roman hasn't been pinned since 2019. The first person to EVER pin Roman Reigns on the main roster was also Jey Uso.

I’ll answer, they probably wanted to pen the biggest babyface and heel (in terms of garnering said reaction that is) in a feud. Hence why they in one.
Also watching their IG, looks like they are testing Dom in a match with Seth. So Dom most likely gets the upset on Cody via Brock interference (just assuming) which leads to Dom getting a title match at SS maybe.
