Yes, its real and its completely manmade. Its much much much much much much much much much much much worse than what mainstream media is protraying.

Our government knows how bad it is and is woefully unprepared to deal with it. They'll either pretend it doesn't exist or use it to justify fascistic policies (i.e. Right wingers) or pacify the public with weak and ineffective solutions (i.e. liberals). Either way it doesn't matter. Physics doesn't give a flying fukk about what is or isn't politically feasible. It doesn't give a fukk about profit margins. It doesn't give a fukk about our silly ideologies about how we think the world should work. Climate change will steamroll us and force us to live with less and less. It will completely change the way humans organize themselves on this planet. It will collapse entire societies and upend billions of lives.

That's the ugly truth of what's coming down the pike. People will panic and feel completely powerless. Remember that feeling you got when COVID first hit the scene and people were panic buying toilet paper and in a complete state of confusion about what to do next. It will be like that expect 100x worse. Once the ice caps melt, global food crops fail and temperatures accelerate beyond human survivability people will be in a state of complete panic and dread.

Yeah, it's crazy to think that in order to seem reasonable on the topic, you have to suggest it's just not looking good, when in reality it's much worse and cause for legitimate hysteria if we want to turn things around. If you look at projections as a result of different scenarios, our current projecton is literal death for most of the global population. And to the surprise of no one, it will hit black people harder than everyone else. If you wanted to get cynical about things, one could say innaction on this comes with that intent, as countries tighten up on immigration policies, you will see left wing government doing the same just to fight the tide of rising right wing nationalism.

Things are looking pretty fukked, and that's putting it lightly.

Supposedly the sun was getting hotter decades ago. Supposedly the ozone layer was getting thinner too. They banned the plastics and chemicals they said were the cause.

I mean, those peaks and valleys are reaching higher/lower extremes at every point tho. We prolly still gone be good for another 50-100k somewhat comfortably if we don't nuke ourselves out or figure out population control, but that graph is showing slow but sure growth in the climate extremes.

I think instead of all crying for help and acting like the world is ending now, we should let the scientists continue their studies and they'll figure something out sooner than later. There's new breakthroughs prolly every week. Honestly, what else can we do about it?

We should be worried more about issues like pollution and economic balance before things that we aren't actually in much control of.
