I'm just curious as to what the average TLR poster thinks about this topic.

Do you believe man-made climate change is a real issue that we should be addressing? Or do you feel the issue is made up and there is no problem with climate change?

Climate change is not real, it's just fearmongering so the government can get money. The earth constantly fluctuates temperatures over time because the Earth's tilt and orbit slightly change over time.

Whenever there's a heat wave somewhere, people freak out about climate change but they fail to mention that at the same time, it's 20 degrees colder than average somewhere else in the world

It's pretty clear cut, arguing against it is honestly on par with flat earth rhetoric. I don't even see why someone that doesn't have a financial motivation towards denying it would deny it outside of being a bit warped in the head. Of course there are financial incentives to fighting climate change but this has nothing to do with the fact that our global temperature is steadily rising.

Yes, its real and its completely manmade. Its much much much much much much much much much much much worse than what mainstream media is protraying.

Our government knows how bad it is and is woefully unprepared to deal with it. They'll either pretend it doesn't exist or use it to justify fascistic policies (i.e. Right wingers) or pacify the public with weak and ineffective solutions (i.e. liberals). Either way it doesn't matter. Physics doesn't give a flying fukk about what is or isn't politically feasible. It doesn't give a fukk about profit margins. It doesn't give a fukk about our silly ideologies about how we think the world should work. Climate change will steamroll us and force us to live with less and less. It will completely change the way humans organize themselves on this planet. It will collapse entire societies and upend billions of lives.

That's the ugly truth of what's coming down the pike. People will panic and feel completely powerless. Remember that feeling you got when COVID first hit the scene and people were panic buying toilet paper and in a complete state of confusion about what to do next. It will be like that expect 100x worse. Once the ice caps melt, global food crops fail and temperatures accelerate beyond human survivability people will be in a state of complete panic and dread.

Supposedly the sun was getting hotter decades ago. Supposedly the ozone layer was getting thinner too. They banned the plastics and chemicals they said were the cause.


Supposedly it got better but started thinning in other spots. And of course the problem is,you guessed it,Global warming and greenhouse gases now


The European making this up as they go. The earth moves how it moves in divine timing. Dont worry, nature has acted a fool before and not everybody died. Those of us in tune with nature at the time will use our instincts,and follow the animals who look like they know something. Meanwhile the rest of you will be taking instructions from the European on what to do.
