why is it a terrible move?
That hasnt been confirmed.
Yeah it has. It supposed to be coming out this year.
I don't remember the two ever being confirmed to be two different games. "Phantom Pain" seems to be a viral teaser for Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes if anything.
That's a theory but most of the speculation says no. The two trailers look like differnt games at different time periods. But we'll see
The trailers don't look like different games. Phantom Pain trailer just looks like a dream sequence. It doesn't represent a time period because throughout the trailer Big Boss is seeing different parts of his past. (Volgin, flower petals from Boss fight, Boss's horse). If anything most of the speculation says they are the same game.
can I ask you all how you got through MGS4? The cutscenes were ridiculously long. I'm not even the type of person that is impatient. I appreciate cinematic games.
This combination sounds like it could work well actually I'm interested in seeing what they can do.
Don't get caught into Kojima's bullshyt breh lol. That sounds good but there's this
We already know Ground zeroes isn't Metal Gear 5
Project ogre was rumored to be Metal Gear Solid 5
And Kojima already said they were two seperate projects
Kojima confirms Project Ogre and MGS: Ground Zeroes are unrelated | ComputerAndVideoGames.com
When asked about The Phantom Pain, Kojima laughed and said that while he sees the resemblance, it is being made by Moby dikk Studios, and that he has nothing to do with it. :mjpls2:
If you're a fan of the MGS story then it doesn't matter so much. Plus the cut scenes only really matter the first time you play. Metal Gear games are meant to be replayed for speed runs, badges, easter eggs, etc. Played MGS4 at least 10 times to get all the badges and try everything out. Probably my favorite PS3 game along with Uncharted 2 (can't decide which one I like more).
Don't get caught into Kojima's bullshyt breh lol.
If you want to look it as separate games, then you have to look at it this way: We'd be talking about two games being developed side by side (by the same developer), supposed to be released around the same time, same platforms, and they're major canon games. I shouldn't have to tell you how unlikely that is.
And as far as "project ogre" and MGS5 being unrelated is concerned, Kojima likes fukking with people. "Moby dikk Studios", the people that's developing MGS5? The studio's CEO name is "Joakim Mogren". Oh yeah, "Joakim" can be rearranged to spell Kojima

This guy.
Now let's break this down. He's not only saying that he's not DEVELOPING Phantom Pain (which we know will be a lie). He says he has nothing to do with it. That "PHANTOM PAIN" image wasn't originally made like that, remember?
The Metal Gear Solid V was meant to be uncovered.
So altogether (if we play along in this charade):
1. He's not involved in Moby dikk Studios
2. He's not involved in Phantom Pain
3. Phantom Pain isn't Metal Gear Solid (it hasn't been confirmed. And when asked about it, people ask about "Phantom Pain". Not "MGS: Phantom Pain")
So with all that in mind, the only game "confirmed" to be developed by Kojima is Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes. Phantom Pain isn't being developed by him. It's also technically not "Metal Gear Solid V" (as of now) because he's denying any relation to it.
Now coming back to reality, they can still be two separate titles but my bet is that they're the same. My guess is that "Ground Zeroes" is a prologue (which Kojima said it was) in the same way the "Tanker" was the prologue in MGS2. And "The Phantom Pain" is probably a boss fight or just a later part of the game.
