But it was child reasoning vs. Adult reasoning. I put all the blame on the cop because he ran up on a child. Now if Rice was 17 you have a point, but he was 12. How can you blame a 12 year old for making childish mistakes?

The part that you bolded......I was clearly saying that based on what the cops claimed had happened, I figured that the warning that they claimed they gave to the boy, would have lasted much longer than the video actually showed. That's why I said "by the cop's account". The cops never said how long they warned the boy for; that was just something that I guessed upon hearing their account.

How did you get "I believed what the cops said" from that? :what:

Keep in mind "open carry" isn't the same as "openly point guns at random civilians" or "openly pull out a gun from your waist when a cop tells you to put your hands up" :ufdup:

Yes, yes, it was a toy gun....but I'm speaking from the perspective of the people passing by who didn't know the gun was a toy.....and possibly the responding cops who MIGHT not have known.....
