There used to be a good amount of black starters up until around the mid 90s....for some reason it became more rare.....wonder why

I remember when Dontrelle Willis had his breakout season and folks were shocked a black pitcher could do so well like Dave Stewart, Vida Blue, Oil Can Boyd, Doc Gooden, Bob Gibson didnt exist
