On a more serious note, this whole situation, and from it the whole religous nutjob vs. westerner dynamic is very simple but stupid people want to live in dream houses.
To some problems, there are no solutions, worldviews are just incompatable, this has nothing to do with an objective moral superiority but is in fact rooted in the fact that morality is by its nature and appeal is compleltey subjective. Because of the nature of the world, contact and frictions are unavoidable, and you cannot bargain away axioms in negotiation.
Its true as some constructivsts say that you can change axioms, but you can also throw no hitters and you can also have a 4some with devoted nuns, but the possibility is almost nil.
So people need to stop whining likes betchs, and allow people to die, their will no be peace betwee israeli's and muslims, their will not be peace between parts of the islamic world and the west, and the like. Just deal with the fact that their will be a conflict, that there hs been a conflict for the last 1000 years, and that this special spec of time is nothing special and will not give us a peaceful answer.
And the answer is not to run away either, you can't. you cannot break the connections the modern world has formed. Vital interests, and not in a purely clinical realist way but in the more ambigous cultural way will clash, they have to by their very existence. And that begets violence.
