This is definitely one of my favorite movies. Top 5 for sure. City of Men though…eh. I didn't really like it. I guess it had so much to live up to. I think it has a different director or producer or something.

City of men was completely different in tone, the only thing it had in common with city of god was Douglas Silva but he was a different character in those movies.

Top 5 flat out....One of the best movies ever, the fact it didn't win an Oscar is tragic. It just so happened that it was up against two blockbuster CAC circle jerks in return of the king/master and commander. The directing was just amazing, the flashback scenes. The story of the apartment/Ze's backstory was extra dope alone....

So many classic scenes too. How the director created that interview with Ned damn near shot for shot...

Saw this shyt a couple of weeks ago. Perfect film. The cinematography was outstanding. Every scene was just shot with so much style it was unbelievable. I literally forgot they was speaking Portugese in the shyt. Man...

Incredible film. Acting, Writing, Cinematography, Music. It has it all.
In fact my favourite scene is when Benny and his girl are just chilling and smoking with the music playing in the background.
May have to watch it again tonight
