No, it absolutely does not increase your odds going for two there. It only increases your odds if you make it.

I would bet almost anything that there is not one coach in the league that would have gone for two points there. If you miss the game is over, period. It was pretty much no chance that you can win. It is a two-possession game at that point.

If you go for one there, then it's still a one-possession game. If you end up scoring a touchdown again, you can still tie it with a two-point conversion.

no coach was going for two points in that situation. Any coach that did would be fired.

You're going to need a 2-pt conversion at some point. Do you think they'd have a better chance after the next TD? Of course not.

If you go for it and miss, then you know you need another score...but there are still 2 minutes on the clock. If you wait until the next TD and miss, you're gonna have what? A handful of seconds left?

Neither scenario with a miss is likely to lead to a W, but just "keeping the game close" is an awful reason for not going for 2.

Exactly. So what iff they were down 10, and had like a 4th and 5, should they go for it and get the TD? If they miss, the game is effectively over. 99/100 coaches would kick the FG, and be down 7. The unwritten rule/goal is to always extend the game, no matter what, who knows what can happen. Dude doesn't know what he's talking about.
