Sucks for him. He was one of the reasons I still watched NXT when I still fukked with WWE.

Price to pay when you have fake heat :wow:

@Rarely-Wrong Liggins @Heelish
One of WWE’s best heels is gonna have to come back as a big babyface
There’s a rumor out there Triple H & team already have a plan in place for Ciampa’s return angle, and after watching the presentation of the news about his status, and the fans’ reaction to it over the last couple days, all I can say is - I hope that plan involves him being a babyface.

Haitch kicked it off with his “dreams” promo about the state of the belt Tommaso calls “Goldy”, which cast the man NXT fans have loved hating since the first TakeOver: Chicago as a man who loves his job but might not ever be able to do it again. That was followed later in the show, by this video package of Ciampa with his wife and daughter before undergoing the third major surgery of his WWE career at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Brimingham:

And if that’s not enough to make you want to cheer for the man, there’s this:

There’s also the possibility Ciampa might not back it the ring, which... let’s not even go there. The man responsible for the care of WWE Superstars at the Andrews’ clinic, Dr. Jeff Dugas, seems to have faith in Tommy Sports Entertainment, so we will too:

“I don’t know that I’ve seen an athlete have three surgeries back-to-back-to-back, which just to me takes incredible resolve and dedication to getting back to where he wants to be.”

None of which means he won’t be able to quickly elicit heat with some well-played villainy. But the initial pop is gonna be loud at Full Sail, or wherever NXT is when he shows back up.

Either way, get well soon, Tommaso. You son of a bytch.

Paige, Jason Jordan and now Ciampa. That WWE schedule is more to blame than being less durable.

WWE's schedule is obviously not good for anyone, but it's hard to pin these specific injuries on it. Spinal stenosis comes on after many years, it's not a sudden injury. Paige had wrestled 10 years, Ciampa 10 years before he even made it to WWE. And Ciampa was taking stupid bumps for all of those years, and all of his years in WWE, AND his body was already falling apart all over as seen by needing both shoulders and both knees repaired before he was 35. Many high level amateur wrestlers end up with neck injuries as well, and Jordan had a lot fewer pro matches than the other two.

they don't work as much as the dudes from the 80s and have better travel. its the STYLE they all wrestle thats the problem

They don't work as much as dudes in the mid 90s either. They'd be running down dates and I was like :gucci: when it would go: house shows Tuesday-Saturday, PPV on Sunday, Live Raw plus 3 weeks taping the same night...house shows Tuesday through Sunday....:picard:

This didn't even include Superstars/Action Zone/Whatever else was on the air at the time

When you’re not truly over you have to break your neck for pops

That’s why DisGOAT is still a draw in 2019 and he has his health

If you think that's bad wait until crossfit takes its toll on the Rollins types. The joint damage will unfortunately be immense
