#NolanGang we did it :blessed:

We all been asking for something as good as Saving Private Ryan and Nolan fukked around and is about to bless us with something better :wow:

those other directors make films, but NolGawd makes Events :banderas:

#WATTBA

my body is prepared for the stark realism, emotional whirlwind, and purposeful dialogue that is standard with a Nolan Event :ohlawd:

RT prediction, 94% :takedat:
Got damn you sucked his dikk mighty hard. He's great at what he does.

Don't forget the alternative linear/timeline story-telling.

I used to hate Nolan but now I've learned to appreciate him. He's the only blockbuster director that consistently makes decent films. He's not an all-time great or anything like that but nobody makes pop corn flicks as well as he does.

Hilarious post because if you ever watched a nolan interview you would see he takes himself pretty serious and thinks all of his movies have some higher meaning that he must explain to the audience...which is why most of his movies have a character in them that has to explain the movie to the audience...

I can only imagine his reaction if you set down and interviewed him and called his batman trilogy, inception, and interstellar "pop corn flicks"...dude would probably have a stroke :mjlol:

filmspotting listeners voted Nolan as "winning" the 00s. :umad:

Nolan movies =automatic day one :ahh:

Nolan couldn't win the 00s if PTA, the Coens, Scorsese, Tarantino, Bong Joon-ho, Park Chan-wook, Kim Jee-woon and about ten more guys had died in '99, who gives a fukk about what some six or something listeners of some shyt I've never heard of think?

I'm pretty sure Nolan knows the audience he attracts now are the same ones that latched on to him when he made The Dark Knight. Those days when he was a critic favorite and a darling to movie buffs are over. If he wants to keep rolling in the big bucks he has to appeal to them.

He has that awful expository dialogue in his movies because he's afraid of alienating that same blockbuster audience.

Inception was a solid 3/5 movie for me; I liked it. You won't hear any arguments from where TDKR is concerned though. That movie gets worse with each watch.

wtf? nolan is literally the opposite of popcorn flicks

:ohhh: Come to think of it Nolan hasn't made a bad movie. His movies either rank from ok to great. Even Scorsese has a couple of stinkers

I hated inception for this exact reason. the idea was brillant but the exekution was terrible. the whole character of that girl who played juno was a Plot device to explain to the audience what was going on. that's just lazy storytelling.
