Judas was the only person in scripture that was possessed by Satan, and this happened right as he betrayed Yeshua…

To confirm Judas was possessed by Satan you can look at John 6:70 “[Yeshua] answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

When you look at the term devil in Greek (διάβολος diávolos) it’s the definitive article meaning thee devil…that term outside of this passage is only used to refer to Satan…

In John 17:2 when Yeshua offers a prayer of protection for his disciples…

“While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.”

The son of perdition is obviously referring to Judas…

when you look at that term used elsewhere in scripture, it’s used to refer to the antichrist by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4…

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”…

but lowkey this thread might help assist me, whenever I read the Bible, gotta get back to reading every day again, I've loved the Bible my whole life, my favorite Bible is KJ

You might want to read the flood story again. There were offspring between regular humans and the sons of God that multiplied the sin on earth because those offspring had special abilities and weren't regular humans.

the older generation used to say the devil is trying to steal your joy

that's basically happening to me right now

aside from praying what are some good parts in the Bible that I can read about protecting your blessed state of mind when the devil comes right after God to mess up your blessings

I will appreciate any and all input

Jesus after he was baptized went into the wildenrness where he fasted. During this time, he was tempted by the devil. Jesus was able to overcome by using Scripture to ward the temptations even when the devil quoted Scripture. Therefore it not only takes word alone, but actually knowing the Word and walking in it.

basically my question is, if Satan knew God was literally the most powerful being in existence...why would Satan try to overthrow him, and with only a 3rd of the agels correct?

Let me first say I genuinely mean no offensive of any way

I've just always wondered if he incorrectly thought he saw a weakness in God, or a vulnerability

everyone says it was Satan's arrogance, and me personally of course you would have to be arrogant to challenge the Creator, the most powerful, the most intelligent etc

I'm reading the beginning of the new testament(King James version)

and brehs I have to tell you, LOVE the way Jesus sonned the devil when the devil kept trying to get Jesus to worship soon

for example when Jesus was lead into the wilderness and fasted for 40 days and night and was hungry and tired the devil was trying to be slick talking about if your the son of God, command that these be made bread

and Jesus was like "it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God"

also, now I'm starting to see that one of the reasons the devil rebelled against God was his giant ego, because he kept trying to get Jesus to worship him, and that's an arrogant thing to want to be literally worshipped. Telling Jesus I'll give you this, that and the third if you worship me.
