Actually, throughout mankind history churches have been worse... much worse.
Depends on which church? I believe we're talking about the church in the photo. Looks like a traditional church. If it destroyed people in the past i guess its just reinventing itself as a new tool to crush the idiots that walk across its threshold.

Per the bible there will come a point in time when you either take the mark of the beast in order to buy and sell, vote, etc, etc or you can say you believe in JC and pretty much get fuked.

Most people will be duped by the anti-christ.
Plus most people either don't know or have a hollywood understanding of things. Most dont' read their bibles so how are they to know? Are they supposed to believe "some preacher" over that dude who just cured those people?
