It's weird watching him because hes not particularly elusive and he doesn't have great speed. He's just a flat out playmaker. Looks like a Patriot

I love this thread. A buncha folk who never seen him play until a day ago making comparisons.
Dude is a jack of all trades in the same mold as Reggie Bush. He's Reggie Bush lite. Just not as fast, quick, or elusive but he can play. He's the most versatile player in cfb and one of the best jack of all trade players ever.

This here.

I never even compared him to Bush. I think he is the best "player" in cfb, and showed the numbers to back my point. The anti-mccaffrey crowd came in, and we're the ones bringing up Bush. Which obviously means they are impressed with dude, deep down.

I personally feel that cats on here are turning shyt into a white/black thing. And not giving him the football respect that he's earned and deserved. And due to it, even if he was better then Bush, the haters would move up to the next star and be like "but but but...he ain't touching OJ or Marcus Allen".

Some dudes on here are even mentioning RBs around the nation who have multiple below-100 yard games, saying they are better then McCaffrey. Yet...they can't post #'s to validate that bullshyt.

They trying to retroactively give this guy the Heisman. He's a great player, but ESPN is pushing McCaff as Barry Sanders 2.0. Stanford will be a trendy pick for preseason #1 next year.

They will not be the pre-season #1. Hogan graduates. And they will be losing alot in the trenches (O & D lines).

He looks up to and modeled his game after Reggie. Hence wearing #5
It's the right comparison to make. I can't speak to college Barry cause I wasn't born then, but the only back I can compare McCaffery to is Reggie. Way to similar. McCaffery might even be a better kick returner :patrice:
And Yea it's some racial undertones in the dislike for him on here. If he was black this thread would be completely different.

Reggie was a trip. Saw him play alot here (sd) in high school. His school (Helix) was unstoppable with him at RB, and Alex Smith at qb.

Reggie being a star was nothing new to us. He was doing the same freak things in high school, as he did at USC. It looked worse in high school too, since there would be scrubs on the field for the other teams.

As for the comparison. McCaffrey will never have Reggie's speed. But he isn't wrong for modeling his game after Bush. For the type of player he is, I think Bush is the perfect model for him.

Why are y'all caping so hard for McCaffery as if he hasn't been getting his due and validation from the sports media?
