In real life, he's exactly where he should be, he's over and consistently a good performer. On the internet he's very overrated though, dudes will swear he should've been the face of the company and a long term heel champ on Raw.

The thing with Christian is this..back in 2005, when change was coming, when they were pushing Cena against JBL after having him get slick wins over Eddie, Taker, and Booker. When Batista took advantage of the fall of Blandy at Royal Rumble 2005 and got over big leading to Mania...that doesn't change the fact that Christian was ultra over and fans wanted him going to the next level. All they had to do was put him over but they chose their selected few and somehow that makes Christian overrated in this day and age by those that love Vince's system. It's silly.

Towards the end of Christian's intial run with the E he had the makings of a quintessential heel. Also he had that epic rock opera theme and entrance. Then he bounced to TNA and they showed us everything that he could have been in the E if they just let him run. I love Edge but everything he was Christian could have been. When he returned it seemed like it was damn near punishment for him when they threw him on ECW knowing damn well he needed to be on SmackDown. Then the injuries came in and set him back further, but he got that 48 hour title run which I only felt happened in light of taking advantage of the Edge retirement. As of right now I don't see him back in the main event scene. He needs to just help make the midcard scene somewhat credible
