She sang at #45's Inauguration. What did she c00n for?
Seems like that, huh?So, once someone wakes up and sees the light, are they just never allowed back into the fold? Are we just never allowed to fukk up and learn from it, acknowledge it and change?![]()
Black ppl forgave Eminem for them racist tapes, even hopped on his dikk again for his diss to Trump a month or 2 ago![]()
I mean honestly I don't know the answer to that. I believe it could definitely be classified as a mental illness. I do think SOME c00ns can be saved but there are some who are too far gone and must be completely ostracized from black society.I agree wholeheartedly with the bolded.
After reading the second part of your post, another question has suddenly come to my mind - does the average black person see what is referred to here as 'c00ning' as a mental illness?
Didn't James Baldwin make the statement about being perpetually enraged as a direct result of being black in this country?
Is rage an emotion the body can sustain indefinitely without some kind of consequence to the mind, body and spirit? This is not a rhetorical question; I'm really asking. Maybe there are some medical professionals on here who can speak to this point. This is something I have thought about often though.
Anyway, if some people develop into 'c00ns', are they sick? And if they are sick, how do we support and help them? There are some black folks somewhere right now, raising their baby in a way that will make them likely to be 'c00ns'. The child is not at fault, but as an adult, that person will then need to change. Will we be willing to help this person or should s/he just be considered collateral damage? I guess a simpler question is, how do we deal with 'c00ns'?
I realize this has nothing to do with Ms. Michelle specifically, but your comment really gave me some food for thought, so thanks!
:tms_18:I think we as black ppl are a VERY sensitive bunch for (understandable reasons), I mean we basically were sold out to white slave owners by our own people. I mean if that doesn't make a ppl carry the mindset of "either you're with us or against us", I don't know what will! Chrisette is an example of this to a lesser degree, like i stated in a previous post black ppl have done much worse (and continue to do so while not giving a damn about black folk...) yet we still haven't removed them from "our circle" Black are forever talking about needing to help out and do for africa "the motherland". Yet when Floyd Mayweather (a dude who has supported trump and been quoted giving praise towards the dude... (2) things Chrisette hasn't done mine you) ... was asked if he's helped africa this due basically said "what has africa done for me, I live in the U.S. a nikka with an abundance of resources
... But every time the nikka fights, ppl seem to put that to the side and all I see/hear is "let's go mayweather", "he da goat". So it comes down to black ppl being very wishy washy with picking and choosing who to support and not. Since that Chrisette michele misstep, her career has been in a downward spiral since..but floyd still has money, black support and has continued to be pro trump.
With what Charles barkley and Steven a Smith has said, their shows are supposed to be in the dump....Yet all I see in the comment section "lol do yall see what charles said on TNT...dude crazy
One person said, if she comes out and says she fukked up then it would have been better received..... ahh she did that on the breakfast club. Now how ppl interrupt it or perceive how it came across is on them. But she didn't have to do that....Could have done what others do. Ingore the backlash and keep working like they didn't do or say what they did. Am I still disappointed in what she did and how she tried to pander to black folk afterwards....YEP. But her (1) action isn't enough to give her a life time banned from the black community, esp when she's been repping for balck folk since the beginning. I think a lot of times black ppl put energy into chastising their own rather than others.... But i'll let yall cook!

I don't believe Chrisette went too far, but people like Jason Whitlock, Sheriff Clark, Jesse Peterson.....some of these nikkas can't be saved and need to be purged from our people.....I mean maybe we can study these c00ns more to figure out what the hell happened to cause this sickness.
I know Tariq was talking about doing a c00n documentary exploring this idea. The intricacies of c00ning may be deeper than we think
