Weidman is the more skilled grappler, while Anderson is the more skilled stand-up fighter. Both are very talented either way.
Silva isn't a top notch Bjj practitioner that simply doesn't have to use it as much- because he kicks and elbows and punches better than anyone in history?

Honestly though it wasnt looking good for Silva even if it was still early. If im Silva Id rather go out like he did than get beating legit again, if nothing else he can always have the "what if" factor and thats much better than going out on back to back Ls
