:wtf:

Have you seen him on Def Comedy Jam?

Why do people keep bringing up that one 5 minute set from nearly 20 years ago?

The fact that he's still doing jokes about Michael Jackson should tell you enough about his level of stand-up ability.

Not saying he's not funny, because Chris Tucker in Friday is one of the best comedic performances of all time, ever, ever-ever, but as a stand-up comedian, he doesn't register. At all.

Like a lot of comedians from those days, he coasts on personality more than material.

Because he hasn't done much stand-up, duh :wtf:

If you wanna say he doesn't register, fine cuz he doesn't have that kind of resume. If you wanna say he may not be good at it now, that's fine too...this stand-up may very well suck.

But you said he wasn't good at stand-up at all, which is bullshyt cuz in the few times he has done it, he's been very funny.

yeah he's like Mike Epps to me... hilarious when reacting to something someone else does/says, but on their own they fall flat.

I give it 3/5.

Starts off slow and you can tell his timing is a little off in the beginning. He dragged a few bits out a little too long. He seemed a little nervous in the very beginning. Stuttering a bit, out of breath.

Then it picks up and its funny as fukk. His family jokes were great. Just when I start to think "damn, chris is back" he goes into politics/political impressions that I didnt think were funny.

Overall I think it was a pretty good special considering its been a while since we've heard from him.
