lol @ "mental capacity" being a requirement for Nolan's films. Dude can't go five minutes without having his characters explain everything to the audience, and in terms of directing he's like modern day Ridley Scott. His technical skill is unmatched, but the guy's cinematic style is dry as rock salt.
Nolan's most entertaining/satisfying movies (Memento, The Prestige and The Dark Knight) were all carried by his brother's writing, who is the secret weapon behind Nolan's success. My interest for Interstellar comes mostly from the fact that Jonathan Nolan wrote this one as well.
I can't wait for him to finally fulfill his dream of directing a movie himself, because I feel he'd make his overrated brother instantly irrelevant.
