I get why people would think its a reach but WWE definitely isn't above doing little digs like that.... This is the same company that had Jillian Hall do an angle where she was a horrible singer. Nobody thought anything about it until stories came out about it being done to make fun of Lilian Garcia for trying to get her music career off the ground...


Even had Ryback go out on commentary and say "I'm sorry if my voice is a little horse, I've been hanging around Lilian Garcia" as a subtle reference to horse-like facial features...

I'm leaning on this being a reach,but you're not wrong to be skeptical. Things that seemed like nothing for example Vince bumping into Eugene backstage and asking him what he drank and him responding vodka was allegedly a dig at Nick Dinsmore being a recovering alcoholic, HHH saying Lilian Garcia was horsing around was a knock on her looks, Piggy James was about the company sending Mickie a message on her weight, The Rock's promo on Lana was meant to put Lana/Perry in her place, recently Dean Ambrose has been accused of being lazy multiple times on wwe television, they had Flair cut a shoot promo on Carlito who had heat because the company thought he could be a bigger star then he became.

I don't think this was one of those but who knows? This week we'll probably get some dirtsheet saying it was a shot at Mauro.
