Yeah, that blowing up mountains part got to me. It really is an illustration of taking from earth too far. When you are driving in a scenic mountainous locale and you see the snow capped ranges moving slowly behind you while you drive upward of 70 mph you think, "Wow, that's beautiful." And to think miners are putting dynamite inside it to destroy it for a fairly obsolete form of energy it's heartbreaking and really begs the question, "WTF are we doing?!"

I saw this story last week. Unreal and intentional. YouTube is not slick.
Yeah, saw that. Real News' Editor In Chief actually edited an essay I wrote like 4 years ago for a major publication. His intellect impressed the hell out of me.
I still keep up with Hedges. He has his blindspots and biases, but when he's on point he hits hard.
And he does it in such a calm manner. Some dissidents tend to lean into more bombastic methods of conveying their ideas but it’s the calmer voices that typically have the more cutting, visceral effect on listeners.
