crazy how online websites like amazon and netflix can compete against brick and mortar franchises like best buy and radio shack putting circuit city out of business but a company that can actually make a significant change to society can get bullied.

It's not Tesla's fault the game was set up to make them fail if they don't play NICE with the big boys. and Tesla can and eventually put alot of car companies out of business and make buying gas, which the gas companies fear obsolete... If Tesla can succeed then these people would loose money. these auto coalitions, the lobbyists, the gas companies. everyone with their hands in the pie.

Just imagine a super Drug more, potent than cocaine, but none of the negative side effects or cravings, and 100% safer than cocaine with none of the debilitiating effects that meth has. And only you knew the secret recipe. The drug dealers would fear it, because they cant steal it from you. They cant reproduce it. They would either torture it out of you, or just outright kill you because your a threat to their foundation...

Like i said if Tesla can fix that battery explosion defects then the cars would be legendary. other than that they have a long way to go.

I agree with everything but the last sentence. Why do you keep saying it like that shyt is happening all the time? Its only happened 3 maybe 4 times which isn't alot. I haven't looked into but people on one of the tesla forums said gas cars have a similar rate but I don't know for sure

IDK but an explosive defect in a battery is extremely dangerous...

That for me a serious no deal for me buying a car for 50k....

I mean can you imagine the outrage if your buying a car for 50k, the defect makes it prone to a exploding battery??? I've never heard of such insanity.

I agree but apparently regular cars have this happen also but you not not going to buy a gas car are you? That's what I'm saying if this only happened to Teslas regarding the explosions I can understand but cars period have stuff like this happen. Also the car don't cost no 50k either. I wouldn't be outraged unless me and or family is hurt/killed because Tesla said they would replace the car if it fukks up like that.

shyt where is the starting price 50k because its not that even on their website? Yeah I can't speak much on gas cars exploding but I don't think those tesla fan boys would be lying about it no its not hard to imagine esp how 1 or 2 of the fires happened.

When they first came out and they had the tech demo the guy said starting base price was 50k... I guess things changed when that model S hit the streets. 60k plus is too damn expensive for my blood. With alot of incentives and i guess tax breaks maybe you will only spend 50k if you get a barebones model.

batteries explode everyday b. and it's business as usual.

iphones batteries explode, dell laptop batteries made by sony explode. some ppl die cause of the defects life still goes on. it's nothing that holds business back. as long as money is being made, business cannot be stopped.

making it sound like the car just randomly exploding or some sh1t. if there's any explosion happening it's probably cause of impact which i don't think is any worse than a gasoline run car.

but of course once they plant that in ppl's heads it gets ppl scared.


only thing is if thy can get their battery factories made in china rather than japan. cause even though japan quality is world class, japan labor is expensive and anything made in japan is expensive. if they can get quality control over in china that could drop the cost of the battery considerably.


in fact, they could just say f the US market and sell their sh1t in asia and not have to deal with the BS. run it over there for a a few years and have the market on lock then bring it over here. but if they do that these big companies probably lock em out forever.

Yeah I figured you hadn't kept up with things in a hot minute because that 50k been thrown in the bushes before the first one even rolled out for sale lol. You know too who wants a car with none of the shyt that makes it hot just to say they got it? Yeah the cheapest one with regular stuff you'd want is closer to 70k and that isn't the business for most people but they are nice driving though.

Exactly they do this to scare people that will do no research and just be like welp them them exploding cars fukk that Im not coping one of those. Like that gasoline engine any safer if something hits that like the tesla battery fires.
