Nah it wasn't. Back in the 90's any dude hollering at chicks with that red shyt at the back of their ears got curved unless he was already established or a pretty boy. The diamond studs we bought back then had some cheap backs but like you I got some proper backs from the jeweler that never popped out once you clicked 'em in and I was good.
