LOL. Server guys usually manages the OS/Hardware. Either Windows, Linux,or UNIX. If you want to focus on Windows get very familiar with Active Directory for starters.

For networking you have to configure routers/switches/firewalls/vpns (last 2 are mostly security roles, but it depends on the company you work for). For routers you'll have to learn all of the routing protocols for example (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc). Switches you'll have to learn stp, port security, etc.

If you're brand new, get your A+ and try to get a help desk job then move on from there.
