THAT'S the main fight that I always use as why I believe Broner will have an even better fight against Matthysse the same way that yall use Maidana against AB.


The difference is, AB is better than Judah was when he fought Matthysse while I think Matthysse today isnt as good as Maidana.


Either way, we've discussed that matchup at length and the only way we will get that fight is for Matthysse to beat Postol for the vacant WBC Junior Welterweight Belt (after Garcia vacates) which will move AB up to #1 contender by the WBC (he will jump Dulorme for that spot) and then we get Lucas Matthysse vs Adrien Broner for Matthysse's WBC Crown

i used that analogy cuz AB can EASILY outbox Lucas if Zab could. AB has a better chin than Zab and better defense. He is probably quicker at this point, and maybe even a little stronger. I think you guys are underestimating AB. He is the best fighter at 140, since the king is moving to 147.

Lucas beat Peterson who is a mothafukking BUM. that nikka on steroids and still fukking sucks. The division does not have a clear cut guy outside of Swift and he is on the way out.

fukk an accomplishment. AB is king now that Swift left. When i look at 140, i cant think of a single fighter that beats him. Just wait this time next year you gonna be salty when AB is the king of 140.

Real talk, I'd give Ruslan a better shot at beating AB than I would Matthysse. Lucas footwork is horrible. Dude can't cut off the ring, falls/leans over his front foot too much, and any type of lateral movement seems to fukk him up.

Dude let Zab outbox him for 7 or 8 rds before he finally put some real hands on him. He was tagging Alexander good, but would constantly let himself get outfought by Devon in exchanges who seemed buzzed/stunned throughout the fight.

Broner would just have to get caught cold by Lucas for me to see him lose that fight.

I'm talking about Ruslan against Broner. Not Ruslan against Lucas.

Lucas is just a one dimensional brawler too. It's just that his punching technique is so crisp that dudes think he's more skilled than what he is.

Ruslan I believe counter punches better than Lucas imo and he puts better combos together with his offense. Lucas is more of a basic jab, cross, hook guy. Broner will read that shyt just like he did against Demarco.

Just imagine Provodnikov rushing at AB like Taylor did early in their fight. Broner would really have to use his footwork in order to win that one. He'll also have to be first. Danny outboxed Lucas by just using minimum footwork. He wasn't even skating around as much as Zab and Alexander.
