as an Eagles fan, im happy with this move.. this was the only situation in which we keep Vick and Vick should be able to feast in Kellys offense.
Vick's not staying here. Kelly doesn't just want a running QB; more importantly he wants a firm decision-maker. Someone who won't take bad sacks or turn the ball over. Vick doesn't fit that description.

If he doesn't have the right QB to run his offense, he will fail. Unless he can just somehow compensate for Foles' lack of running.
If Vick's brain/body isn't totally fukked up, he could have a couple strong years until Chip can recruit a J. Football/Braxton Miller type.
Running midget QB's are gonna start having a more viable chance at getting drafted now.
How likely is it that the Eagles draft a QB early this upcoming draft, if at all? And if so, who? There's no legit stud at QB coming out this year. Geno is a good passer and he could run enough maybe to run that offense. I think Kiper had him @ 23rd overall. Possible, I guess.

I'm mixed. I won't say the guy will fail but Eagles fans, we could be really headed to the Dark Ages. Washington went through it, Dallas did as well as the Giants. Eagles fans have been so used to making the playoffs that we could really be at the bottom of the division. If Vick comes back we have a chance but if Foils is the starter, forget it. I give Chip 3 seasons. If we miss the playoffs this year and next year then He will probably be fired quick. I don't see Lurie being as patient with him as much as he was with Andy. Bottom line, Chip has to come in and succeed. The Eagles must make the playoffs very quickly or the fanbase will be restless.

This is an extremely risky hire, I would they rather hire Lovie Smith to fix the defense and maybe get Chip Kelly as an O-Coordinator, but hey they must think his offense will work in the NFL.
