People need to understand that the Chinese mindset is different. These are people whose history stretches back thousands of years. Anyone who studies history knows there are patterns.
Because the government controls the economy over there they can say "within the next 10 years we will have technology that can compete with the best of the best"
And then allign their entire economy and government policy+social services to thar goal. They've forced social media companies there to change their algorithms to focus on educational content and neutral topics. They don't care that douyin(the Chinese variant of tik tok) can make more money with prioritizing rage bait, hustle culture and gender war bullshyt. If the government has enough reason to think it's harmful they tell their tech companies to cut the shyt.
In America there is no unified vision. A president can come along and say he wants America to produce 30% more doctors, chemists, engineers, tradespeople and scientists in the next 10 years by investing in education. He's going to get called a communist and blocked at every turn then the next president will rise to power promising to undo everything that previous president did. One step forward, 2 or 3 steps back.
The people running the biggest companies in America don't care about being globally competitive because they're running them like ponzi schemes now since the people they hire are consultants whose only job is to figure out how to make money.
They get in there, "restructure" the company by firing people, take those withheld wages to pump the stock, grab early concepts of products and announce them to the public to boost investment, then they tell their board "look how much growth we're having. Give me a bonus" all the while the company hasn't actually produced anything. They keep pushing back the date of the product and then when it does come out it's trash, but they don't care because their stock looks good. There are companies surviving because of huge investment runs. Open AI is an example. They have customers but not nearly enough to justify the valuation they're pitching to their investors.
Meanwhile other countries are actively working on technology at the behest of the government to reach their vision. The electronics get sold world wide for cheap prices, the money is reinvested back in the company to develop more premium products and improve quality of the cheap ones, then they improve the brand and repeat the cycle.
It's crazy to see a country that calls itself communist offering a wider variety of goods and price points. Actually insane to witness your country falling off this fast. We can't even get leaders who agree on basic facts, how the fukk are we going to beat a country who is laser focused on creating a massive trade network with the developing world? You know what's next too. They'll be investing heavily in their military because they're students of history. They know how to play the long game and they know history repeats. White countries will NEVER sit back and let people they see as their inferiors create a competitive power network. So the Chinese will have their weapons ready to shoot back if they're attacked again like in the past. For them, the century of humiliation wasn't "a long time ago" 300, 400 years isn't a long time for them. They have a mindset that recognizes the importance of the past and the patterns of history so they're trying to look forward and be prepared. Yet over here you try to teach history that isn't blatant white supremacist propaganda and they say you're woke and pull your funding.
Ironically when you think about it, the british forced China to trade with them by sneaking in opium and making their youth dependent on it. Social media is a digital opium that's running rampant and destroying American minds. They know how dangerous that shyt is which is why they clamp down on it in their own country while we let it rot brains in ours. And then you have students using AI to write their papers because it's literally too much of a hassle to fukking study.
They're producing scientists, and scholars and we're producing brain rotten morons who will vote for someone who will make their lives worse if it means someone else will have it even worse than them. This country is fukking cooked unless we get a complete overhaul in the media, wall street and the government. We need someone to get elected who has no billionaire or millionaire funding and who won't have enough opposition to stop his agenda from going through. We're over here fighting over bullshyt while other countries are focused on the future.
