I love when people tell me how advanced China is.

That is the funny thing. I have learned a lot about China from my Chinese classmates. Most of the international Chinese people that I know don't want to go back because of the lack of freedom they have in so many aspects of life. People always talk about Chinese test scores; however, their education system is completely different from ours. IMO, most Americans would not support their way of educating children. People have to stop comparing apples to oranges when discussing the achievements/advancements of another nation.

agreed. I had a CHinese friend in highschool who used to tell us stories about his "school week".

Honest to god it sounded like slavery.
It was something to this affect.
Wake up at 6 go to school until 5:30, while at school there were beatings by the teachers for getting wrong answers, falling asleep, talking, etc, etc.

Get out of school at 5:30, go to a tutor until 7:00. eat, sleep, start the day again.

6x a week it was like this he said. :(

Man that was a really sad documentary I have a bit left to watch.

I was surprised it was even more repressive in the Muslim communities.

My bad I worded it wrong, but it is an even feasible for 40 million men to be content with jiust porn and never ever crave the touch of a women. :mindblown: :stopitslime:
:upsetfavre:
If you destroy their confidence with rejection (or percieved rejection), destroy their motivation with video games and the internet and destroy their bodies with junk food...absolutely. :mjpls:

As soon as China gets a little more modernized there will be a huge market to exploit of these Chinese adult man-babies. Billions of dollars to be made...

Its so demonic, friends

It's pretty :mindblown:

Yeah I barely finished watching it myself. I feel asleep a couple times.

The clear thing to take away from this documentary is the definition of freedom.

Freedom is the ability to wake up, everyday and do w/e you want to do. Doesn't matter, whether rich or poor, the majority of people are subjected to long hours for pay, which isn't equivalent to time spent being joyful.

Give me a 40k job, with flexible hours in a career field which I enjoy, over a 3hunna K income "joy" that reluctantly hate and rarely enjoy myself.

Women in China who live in rural areas are subject to some horrific lifestyles. I understand the need to place emphasis on the grimy aspects of China, but I wish this documentary showcased the female middle class perspective.

A lot of Chinese people really do place an emphasis on education. Another interesting note is how people in rural areas cling hardcore to religion.

Still :smh: at this cat who hadn't seen his wife in 10 years. Ol boy tried to compromise from cheating by, offering his wife to move in with his mistress. But she didn't take the bait. It was worth a try. :manny:

I don't see how you can go months, years, decades without seeing your wife. What about sexual urges. I know American culture can be very hyper-stimulant, but I can barely go a few days without sex...

Oh yeah, the Chinese education system might look good on paper, but it is like a factory creating robots.

My moms suggested that I go study there when I graduated high school I'm like :comeon:

When I did 2nd-4th grade in China (moms wanted me to learn Mandarin), I went to school at 7AM, and came home at 8pm. Then homework till 11pm. That's 6 days a week, with one day off in the weekend where you get shyt loads of homework. And that's just elementary. :skip: People have told me I have a biased recollection of my time there due to the 'cism I encountered, but lets be real this sounds like it could be off putting to any kid in elementary school.

I remember Summer holidays being one month and you get a gigantic booklet filled with assignments and questions you gotta answer, enough to keep you busy every day of your holiday. they don't play out there.
