You are right, not well so far. The only thing though is Russia and China are different. In Russia Putin is a dictator and will kill opps in a heartbeat--but Russia isn't a totalitarian state with a grip on everything in society. The average Russian who stays out of politics only sees the state in propaganda or corruption/regulation.

China is totalitarian and getting worse. If they wanted to add military discipline and MRA shyt to schools, they could do that in a heartbeat. Still may not work though.
