Yea, China has a central bank called People's Bank of China but it's an extension of the government, just like here so I don't understand why you would distinguish the FED with "the US". The government do issue their own currency.

Everyone has a different method to measure the size of economies and economic strength. I don't think anyone will say, regardless of this PPP measurement, that China has more economic influence or strength than the U.S. though :yeshrug:

dont listen to these morons. Yes china controls everything through their central government unlike the US (and most developed countries) which has a separate entity control monetary policy to keep it away from bullshyt politics.

what china doesnt allow their currency to do is float freely. And they actually manipulate the shyt out of it and peg it to the US dollar (unlike most developed countries with modern economies).

now them not letting the yuan (or renmibi whatever you want to call it) freely trade like every other major currency keeps them out of letting countries trade imports and exports in it. But their economy is so big it will eventually float freely.....these aren't bad things....if china does better we will too.

the clowns in here are going to claim the federal reserve is manipulating our currency and all I'll say is inflation is not a bad thing.
