All this time and effort that Trump and his administration are spending on these tariff wars is insane. Increase tariffs, next day decrease tariffs, next day pause tariffs, next day setting up trade blocks, etc etc etc etc etc. All of this is self inflicted. Meanwhile, still nothing for the American people. I hope his cult is taking notes that all the "America first" was just verbal diarrhea from their glorious leader.

South Korea and Vietnam are at the table now. Japan just stepped up today.
Everybody is coming eventually.

The original tweet you posted was claiming that the u.s. was going to negotiate with 70+ countries to block trade routes with China

That's a little different than 70+ countries negotiating their reciprocal tarriffs, especially when Japan and South Korea also formed an alliance with China last week

Japan and Korea do have an alliance. We’re moving into a new world of trade where an alliance with China does Not mean a deal cannot be made with America simultaneously.
Expect to see more countries have trade deals with both powerhouses.

Im also not doing google for u.

Please don't Google for me, at least not until you do a Google search for a subscription deal for hooked on phonics.

Every country in the world has a trade deal with the u.s and China. That's to be expected when both countries have 20 trillion dollar gdps.

The point of contention was the bit about colluding with 70+ countries in blocking China's trade routes. That's damn near an act of war :heh: That's a hell of a bit of news to drop in confidence.

Yeah you might want to wake back up on that one.

What allies with meaningful gdps does the U.S. have to implement such a plan? EU and Schengen are out due to the U.S. response with Ukraine. Mexico, Canada, South Korea, and Japan are out. Russia relies on China for the war. Brazil and India are tied up in brics.

Right now it's just a "concept of a plan"

Still in negotiations on colluding against china? With who?

We’ll have to just wait n see my brother. I doubt they will give us a play by play update.
Brics is a factor so is Ukraine. The stakes are higher than ever.

China already said they weren't going to check for it anymore. But the consumer will feel the increase. $100 product + 245% tariff = 345$ total for the product.

Good lordt
You know what happens?

Demand goes down. The cost of storing it increases or perishables (so time-sensitivity) so there will be clearances as well. It isnt as doom and gloom as the Chinese on tik tok is selling y’all. Americans are stupid like they believe.

No one else in the world is going to buy that junk made for us.

Even your luxury items are made there it seems like you still believe the narrative that China only makes junk. But thats propaganda for you.

In case of perishables they get re routed to other buyers simple as that. Why do you think China is at the table with so many other countries? The replace the demand of the US, simple as that.
