Even an idiot would recognize that China is a trade enemy because of their export economy. It's led to many American companies to follow up by exporting their labor and manufacturing to them. That then expanded to many other South Asian countries.
That's exactly why Trump is trying to pump tariffs as a way to bring manufacturing back too America. Americans were just to dumb to recognize that things like NAFTA exist, And that it will take decades to build up the manufacturing to replace what we get from that trade.

No one placed a weapon or threat and forced them to move there. They did it themselves searching for cheap labor so they can increase their profit margins. Greed is what has gotten us to this point. Also when these companies over leverage and get in a bad spot we bail them out for being a bad business instead of letting them fold so that innovation and competition can take its place.
