That wasn’t the dark tower:scust: , they should wait a few years until that piece of shyt Clint Eastwood son is a bit older and then cast him as Roland. The have adapted a lot of Kings Work but not all of them were faithful adaptations.

:mjpls:

Idris Elba can act circles around that boy

I was talking more in regards to how Roland is meant to look, let’s be honest even if the movie didn’t suck the mainstream would not accept a black guy as Roland and neither should he be. We should have our own charcaters and not be playing cac charcaters.

I love chucky to death but technically advanced? I'm good on that. Keep it like the OG with a serial killer trapped in his body.

Hmmmm it could work kind of like a mix between the og and a movie like “HER”

They tried this 10 years ago, but nobody was wanting to touch Chucky after Seed so MGM/Universal passed. Now, he's had a successful soft reboot, briefly appeared in a well liked Super Bowl commercial, got to host Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, and had a memorable scene in Spielberg's Ready Player One....and now they try to reboot? Do kids even play with dolls/toys anymore? :what:

And will someone please cast Brad Dourif in something? He's too talented to sit on the sidelines and doing Chucky's voice is basically the only thing he's done thats hit any radars in quite awhile (since Deadwood.) When I heard he was going to be AOS, I was like :gladbron: and then I see that they cast him as a Stephen Hawkings type of character. :beli:
Yesss i love Douriff, i randomly catch him as one off guest stars on random tv shows (law and order svu/psych)

Let this dude stay in the 80s. Although, I might be interested if they stick closer to the original script. It's really supposed to look like Andy had gone crazy and was killing people in the first movie, until the reveal in the middle of the 2nd act.

Pinocchio's Revenge used that plot and it was EHHHHHHH

Was that the result of shytty budget/execution? I’ve been telling myself for like 14 years this could have worked.

It wasn't the budget. child's Play Didn't have a huge budget. It was mostly the characters and execution. Chucky is as much Chucky & Andy as it is anything else. You felt for Andy, Chucky was charismatic, even Chris Sarandon & Catherine Hicks as the mom brought something...and Kyle in part 2. I didn't give AF about any of the characters in Pinocchio's Revenge, which goes to show you how much the characters and Chucky actually matter.
